We love making new things in our workshops, and so we're bringing to you...the modern bifold wallet! Minimalistic and compact, it has 2 compartments to fit your credit cards and bank notes. It's termed 'bifold' as the leather is folded twice, and stitched on the sides. Make yours stand out by choosing contrast threads! You will also craft your own leather keychain!
No experience in sewing or leathercraft is needed, just bring yourself. You will be taught by leathercrafter and our very own Sarawakian Co-Founder, Saran. Delicious refreshments will be served by our friends at Tedboy. This workshop is limited to only 8 pax, to ensure more one-on-one student time so confirm your spots quick!
This 3-hour workshop will guide you on crafting your own modern bifold wallet and keychain to keep your keys tidy:
Veg-tanned tan brown leather will be used
Pattern-making for the bifold wallet and keychain
Techniques on making clean cuts on leather
Burnishing the edges of your leather cover to give a smooth finish
Personalisation on how to stamp onto leather. Stamp your initials or name!
Learn how to use a prickling iron to create holes in the leather for handstitching.
Learn the traditional saddle-stitch method to hand-stitch leather. This might be the hardest part, but trust us, you are going to appreciate your finished leathergood!
Using rivets to make the keychain
You will bring home:
Your very own handcrafted and personalised Modern Bifold Wallet and Keychain, yay!
