Our long-awaited photography workshop is here. Led by DIYKL co-founder Agnes, who is also a photographer, this workshop is in collaboration with thatbunchofpeople, an up-and-coming collective of photographers and fellow creatives.
Have a camera but don't know how to use it? Have you watched countless of tutorials online but can't seem to apply your newfound knowledge? Want to try new styles of photography but don't know where to start? Too afraid to try shooting in manual mode? We've been there, and we're here to help!
Introduction to the exposure triangle: shutter speed, aperture, ISO. How to use the exposure triangle in different situations: portraiture, travel/cityscapes, concert photography.
Lenses and how they produce different results.
Photography composition, and why it's ok to break the rules.
Hands-on session with your preferred instructor during the second half of the workshop, depending on your interest: still life, portraiture, conceptual, cityscapes.
What you need to know on editing using Adobe Lightroom.
Please don't forget to bring:
Your camera and lenses (we'll bring ours too so you can try out different equipment!)
Your camera's manual as you will be switching through the settings often during the workshop (it would be best to know how to change shutter speed, aperture and ISO prior to the workshop)
By participating in this workshop, you agree to the following terms and conditions:
Please be punctual to the workshop as to not inconvenience other participants.
If you are late at the workshop or prevented from attending the workshop due to travel delays or any other circumstances, we shall not be obliged to wait to start the workshop until you arrive nor provide you with a refund.
If you would like someone to replace your slot, kindly inform us (firstname.lastname@example.org) at least 2 working days prior to the workshop as well.
You agree that we may include photos of you in any promotional materials relating to the workshop and/or any materials used at the workshop.
