We are so excited to be bringing our fun and popular leathercraft workshops to Miri, Sarawak! We understand that sometimes it can be difficult to determine what to make in a workshop - so we are providing 3 choices to leathercraft in this workshop! With each choice, you will be making yourself a personalised keychain too.
The 3 choices are:
Leather Cardholder & Leather Keychain (RM140)
Leather Bifold Wallet & Leather Keychain (RM130)
Leather Passport Holder &Leather Keychain (RM150)
No experience in sewing or leathercraft is needed, just bring yourself. You will be taught by leathercrafter and our very own Sarawakian Co-Founder, Saran who also hails from Miri, Sarawak!
This 3 to 4-hour workshop will guide you on crafting your own small leathergood and keychain to keep your keys tidy:
Veg-tanned leather will be used (choose between Black or Brown leather)
Basics of pattern-making
Learning the various tools
Techniques on making clean cuts on leather
Burnishing the edges of your leather cover to give a smooth finish
Personalisation on how to stamp onto leather. Stamp your initials or name!
Learn how to use a pricking iron to create holes in the leather for handstitching.
Learn the traditional saddle-stitch method to hand-stitch leather. This might be the hardest part, but trust us, you are going to appreciate your finished leathergood!
You will bring home:
Your very own handcrafted small leathergood and leather keychain, yay!
